About Kelsey Gruenwoldt

Kelsey is a fourth-generation Seattle native and co-founder of Seattle Tree
Care.

Her interests have long centered on the relationship between people and
place. After earning her degree in Environmental Studies from the
University of Washington, she spent a year traveling abroad to better
understand how culture, landscape, and community shape one another. That
perspective continues to inform her work.

Kelsey is particularly interested in designing organizational structures
that increase transparency—clarifying how people grow, how performance is
measured, and where opportunity exists within a company. In 2023, she
co-founded the Seattle Arborist Association to support professional
standards and long-term stewardship of the region’s urban forest.

Outside of work, she values time with her husband and three children,
traveling, exploring the outdoors, and investing in experiences that
strengthen family and community.
