About Peter Gruenwoldt
Peter Gruenwoldt is a third-generation Silviculturist and the grateful son of parents who emigrated to the United States. Peter learned a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the natural world while growing up in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and has spent his lifetime studying, surveying, and climbing the native forests of the Pacific Northwest.
After earning his degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Redlands, Peter found arboricultural mentors based in Seattle to study under, including Jim Burgess, Tim Waterman, Jason Heggenes, Robert Gandt, and Bobby Stewart. Through these tree professionals, Peter learned and practiced all aspects of tree care operations.
Innovation and learning have never stopped for Peter—Seattle Tree Care is now a 41-person company led by himself and his wife, Kelsey Gruenwold, and is leading the field of arboriculture in the Seattle region.
